Maximize Dollar Store Sales By Establishing An End Cap Display Schedule

Building dollar store sales is a challenge faced by every dollar store business owner. While sales can certainly be increased by adding to the amount of traffic coming into your store, there is a need to also maximize the number of visitors who actually purchase dollar store items from your store and the average purchase made by all those shoppers as well. There are a variety of actions required to accomplish the best results. One of the actions which should be placed at the top of your list is to keep the assortment of products on end caps fresh and different at all times.

One technique for making this requirement super easy to manage is to establish a set schedule for the rotation of products to and from all of the end caps in your dollar store business. For example, if you have a small store with only 10 end caps, you might decide to rotate 2 of these items per week.

Move the merchandise on designated spots whether the product has sold out or not.

Typically the best approach for a dollar store business rotation plan is to display new items on front and the rotate them to back when remaining supplies still support display.

If the end cap items have sold down, display the remaining items in the appropriate location of the appropriate aisle.

If a full end cap of merchandise remains, simply rotate the items from a front to a rear of store.

If rotating a back end cap and it remains full, it is time to examine the items on display.

If they have never been on a front and warrant a boost in exposure, consider moving them to the front.

If the items have already been on a front, and then were moved to the back, examine price, the display itself, signage, and other factors involved in making sales. If nothing is obvious, yet you know the items routinely sell, swing them into the appropriate aisle for regular display. Otherwise, treat them as a closeout items and turn them into cash.

Specifically purchase some items for displays. Focus on wholesale sales, closeouts and other buying opportunities to maximize not only dollar store sales from end caps, but also profits using this strategy.

There is no real way of knowing how quickly the dollar store sales will be high enough on each displayed product to warrant placing them into the appropriate location in the aisles. Just be aware this is the best option when some items remain. Maximize end cap sales for your dollar store business by focusing on properly managing the products to be displayed.
