Some are medium format film cameras, I believe the action sampler uses 35mm film (standard size). The medium format film will be expensive and difficult to develop, not to mention purchasing the film. The cameras can be fun to play around with, and they all have a very interesting look to them (I don’t really care for the action sampler myself, just get a camera with a fast shutter speed and a motor drive and you’ve got the same thing) but if you are just looking for a cheap and amusing camera to play with your friends, you’re better off with a digital.
